Oscar Rodriguez serves as President of the Texas Association of Broadcasters, a statewide, non-profit advocacy organization for the state’s 1,200+ free, over-the-air local radio and television stations.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rodriguez began his career in public service as an Assistant Press Secretary to Gov. Mark White from 1984 to 1987.

He then served a seven-year stint as a legislative liaison for the Texas Education Agency before joining TAB in 1994.

He is a native Texan who grew up in McAllen and has lived in Austin since 1981.

Jessica Nyman

Jessica Nyman is a Partner with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP’s Washington, DC-based Communications group, working out of Pillsbury’s Austin, TX office. 

Clients turn to Jessica for help navigating complex regulatory and litigation matters before the Federal Communications Commission, the Department of Justice, the Copyright Royalty Board, and federal district and appellate courts.

She has deep experience in a wide array of media matters, including NextGenTV development and implementation, compliance with multiple ownership limits, petitions for approval of foreign broadcast ownership, program carriage rights, and EEO compliance. 

Beyond media, she advises clients on the FCC’s equipment authorization and marketing requirements, E911 obligations, and experimental licensing.

Jessica also offers strategic counsel in a variety of transactional matters in the communications and technology sector, including retransmission consent negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, and information technology outsourcing transactions.

She is a regular contributor to CommLawCenter.com, Pillsbury’s one-stop resource center covering a wide array of communications law matters.

Daniel Anstandig

Harvey Arnold

Harvey Arnold is Senior Vice President, Engineering for Sinclair Broadcast Group and has been with the company for 25 years. He is responsible for engineering activities, supporting approximately 185 television stations spanning over 600 channels in 86 markets.

Prior to joining Sinclair, Arnold spent 17 years with North Carolina Public Television, where he managed and expanded the engineering as well as transmission activities of one of the largest state-wide Public Television networks in the country. Harvey served as an engineering consultant for PBS and its member stations. He was an active member of the FCC Advisory Committee for Advanced Television Service (ACATS) to develop the ATSC standard and to implement over-the-air digital television in the United States.

Harvey holds a BS in Communications from the University of Wisconsin.  He is a member of the SMPTE Board of Editors and is a SMPTE Fellow.  Additionally, Harvey serves as Vice-Chair of the NAB TV Technology Committee. He is active in many broadcast-related technical organizations such as ATSC, Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and The Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE). Harvey is the recipient of the Broadcasting & Cable Technical Leadership Award.

Erin Wilde

With a career spanning 26 years in radio, Erin Wilde has become a familiar and beloved voice in the Fort Worth area, where she’s spent the last decade lighting up the airwaves. Beyond the mic, Erin’s talents extend to television and film—most recently appearing in “God’s Here”, now streaming online.

Erin’s passion for broadcasting is matched only by her commitment to giving back. She’s deeply rooted in her community and driven by a desire to make a positive impact in people’s lives. A proud mother and joyful new grandmother—twice over in one year!—Erin holds family at the center of all she does.

In a career full of memorable moments, Erin is particularly proud of her late son Trey Cordie, a gifted program director and radio personality. Though he’s no longer with us, his legacy continues through her work and the love she shares with her audience and community.

When she’s not behind a microphone, you’ll find Erin living life to the fullest—staying active, embracing wellness, and even reviving her days as a professional cheerleader with the occasional TikTok dance. She’s also a three-time blue ribbon champion of the celebrity goat milking contest at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo—because why not?

Erin brings energy, authenticity, and heart to everything she does—and she never misses a chance to say, “How ‘bout them Cowboys?!”

David Ostmo

David Ostmo is a Regional Engineering Director for the Sinclair Broadcast Group based in San Antonio, Texas. He oversees the technical operations for 27 Sinclair owned stations spread out over 14 markets in Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska and Utah.

Since becoming a Regional Engineer for Sinclair in 1998, Ostmo was involved in several broadcast industry initiatives including the DTV transition, station HD conversions, spectrum repack and the current roll out of ATSC 3.0. He’s overseen major station construction projects in San Antonio, El Paso and Beaumont, Texas in addition to significant facility renovations in Oklahoma City and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ostmo began working at KABB-TV in San Antonio, Texas in 1992 as Director of Operations and Engineering. For 21-years he was in charge of commercial and news production in addition to On-Air Operations and Engineering. In that capacity Ostmo produced live coverage of 71 football games, parades, and special events.

David’s broadcast career started in 1976 as a radio announcer and production assistant for KGLO Radio and TV in Mason City, Iowa. Ostmo was Program Director at KCPS Radio in Burlington, Iowa when he returned to the television side of the industry in 1980. He worked at five different TV stations in Tulsa, Oklahoma before moving to Texas.

Broadcast History is Ostmo’s passion. He began writing on the subject while he was a columnist for TV Technology in the late 1980s. His personal library includes 1,500 books on broadcasting and motion pictures dating back to the early 1900s. Ostmo is a frequent speaker around the country delivering presentations about the evolution of broadcasting.

Andy Meadows

Texas based radio consultant and author Andy Meadows has been in radio for literally his entire life. He grew up in a small market radio station his family owned in the Texas Hill Country.

Later Meadows spent sixteen years at LKCM Radio Group in DFW, the final thirteen as the group’s Operations Director and Digital Director growing some of the highest digital stats in the country. In 2019 he left to start his own consulting company with the goal of helping groups transition into the digital age of radio.

Today Andy is the President and Founder of Radio Station Consultant where he consults radio stations across the country on programming, digital, operations and sales.

In May of 2022, Andy partnered with Radio Resources giving him access to resources that allow him to help every department within a radio station.

In March of 2024 he helped launch Radio Update as their senior editor.

He’s published two radio eBooks, “From Broadcast to Podcast: Applying Radio Rules to Podcasting” and “7 Habits of High Performing Radio Personalities.” Recently, veteran programming consultant Tracy Johnson called Meadows “One of the industry’s best teachers.”

Andy also publishes a free blog on www.radiostationconsultant.com, hosts the Radio Influencers Podcast and has been a featured speaker at NAB Vegas, NAB New York, TAB and ABA.
