Ashli Dansby

Ashli Dansby, 43, is the General Manager and Morning Show Host at KMHT Radio in Marshall, TX. Dansby fell in love with radio at 12-years-old, and never pursued another career.

She’s been with KMHT since August of 2009, and has held numerous positions, culminating in being named General Manager during August of 2023.

Dansby has what she describes as a “radio brain,” and understands the challenges and opportunities presented to radio broadcasters today.

Dansby has been nominated as Personality of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association, Texas Regional Radio Report, and the Ameripolitan Awards, respectively.

Dansby is a TAB Board Member, and holds membership in Investigative Reporters and Editors, the Texas Country Music Association and Texas Regional Radio Report.

Noelle earned her degree in Advertising with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.  During her time at UT, she was part of the Texas Media & Analytics program, which deepened her expertise in media and data-driven strategies.

Annie graduated from the University of Texas in 2023, with a degree in Journalism and Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication.

Ladd Flock

Ladd Flock is the Senior Director of career services for University of Texas at Austin’s Moody College of Communication.  With over 30 years’ experience in helping recruiters build pipelines to source entry-level talent from college campuses, he is well positioned to share insight and best practices for recruiting strategy during the second half of the 2020s.  

For the past five years at UT, Ladd leads a team of career coaches and employer relations managers to support internship and full-time placement for the 4,500 students enrolled at Moody College. His work focuses on communications industry sectors such as advertising, audio, broadcast journalism, business development and sales, content and research, corporate communications, data and analytics, digital media, editing, entertainment, event programming, film and television production, journalism, podcasting, public relations, radio, social, and station support.

In addition to his current role at UT, Ladd has directed career development operations at Yale University, Wake Forest University, University of Virginia, and Indiana University Bloomington.

Brenda Jaskulske is an innovative educator and advisor in the Department of Media Arts (formerly Radio, Television and Film) at the University of North Texas.  She presents dynamic content online and face-to-face, specializing in podcasting, audio and video production, the media industry, and US radio history.  In addition, Jaskulske is an award-winning voice-over talent for broadcast, online platforms, and corporate media.  Her previous work included program director, music director and air-personality; she produced and voiced award-winning broadcast commercials; and shot, edited, and produced commercials and news content for commercial television stations.

Ben Downs

Ben Downs

Ben Downs is the Vice President and General Manager of Bryan Broadcasting in Bryan-College Station, along with being an operating partner for the stations. 

During the intervening years, he has operated two statewide groups of broadcast stations in Texas. 

Sonance Broadcasting owned stations in Lubbock, Midland, Killeen, and Waco.  He also managed stations in Nacogdoches, Lufkin and Tyler. 

In addition, Downs has served as Chairman of the Texas Association of Broadcasters twice! 

In 2010, TAB honored him with the “Broadcaster of the Year” Award. 

He also served as a Board member of the National Association of Broadcasters and was part of the NAB Legislative Leadership program.

Oscar Rodriguez

Oscar Rodriguez

Oscar Rodriguez serves as President of the Texas Association of Broadcasters, a statewide, non-profit advocacy organization for the state’s 1,200+ free, over-the-air local radio and television stations.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rodriguez began his career in public service as an Assistant Press Secretary to Gov. Mark White from 1984 to 1987.

He then served a seven-year stint as a legislative liaison for the Texas Education Agency before joining TAB in 1994.

He is a native Texan who grew up in McAllen and has lived in Austin since 1981.
