Mary Michael Hatcher is a pioneering broadcaster, community leader, and one of the most respected voices in Texas media. A native of Houston, Texas, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a Radio-TV-Film focus from Sam Houston State University, where she served as President of both the College Women in Broadcasting and the Student Broadcasting Society.

In 1977, Hatcher moved to Bryan-College Station after accepting a position in radio sales with WTAW-AM/FM. Just two years later, she broke new ground as the first female co-host of WTAW’s legendary morning talk program, the Muck & Mire Show, a role she held for more than a decade.

Throughout her distinguished career, Hatcher has combined broadcasting excellence with extraordinary community involvement. She served as Chairman of the Board of the Texas Association of Broadcasters (TAB) and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. She was named President of the TAB Golden Mic Club in 2019 and was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2017.

Her extensive list of honors includes Crime Stopper of the Year from the Office of the Governor of Texas, the Bluebonnet Council Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction Award, the MSC OPAS Charles Plum Award, and the MSC OPAS Connie Wortham Community/Student Relations Award. In 1991, she was recognized as the Bryan-College Station Business & Professional Women’s Organization “Woman to Watch.”

Beyond broadcasting, Hatcher has dedicated decades of service to numerous civic, educational, and charitable organizations, including the Junior League of Bryan-College Station, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the George Bush Presidential Library, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Girls Scouts of America, and many others.

Today, Mary Michael remains an influential advocate for broadcasting, education, and community engagement. Her career stands as a testament to the power of leadership, service, and a lifelong commitment to connecting people through media.

Tom McAuliffe II is the President and Owner of MyFM Media 101.3, one of Massachusetts’ most awarded and innovative local media companies.

For more than three decades, Tom has challenged conventional thinking about what a local media company can be.

While many in broadcasting focused on what radio was losing, Tom focused on what it was becoming. Under his leadership, MyFM evolved from a standalone AM station with an FM translator—operating under the shadow of the Boston, Worcester, and Providence media markets—into a multi-platform media, marketing, content, and community engagement company that has earned 14 Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Station of the Year recognitions.

Inspired by visionaries such as P.T. Barnum and Jesse Cole of the Savannah Bananas, Tom believes success comes from creating memorable experiences, challenging assumptions, and refusing to accept “the way it’s always been done.” That mindset has helped transform MyFM into one of New England’s most recognized local media brands while remaining fiercely committed to localism, community connection, and innovation.

Beyond broadcasting, Tom has become a recognized advocate for local business growth, community engagement, entrepreneurship, and innovative thinking.
