David Sanderford is President and Owner of Intelligent Design and Services, Inc. (iDSi), a Texas-based engineering and technical services firm specializing in broadcast television and radio transmission systems. 

With more than three decades of hands-on experience in broadcast engineering, David has built a reputation for combining practical field expertise with comprehensive project management and RF system design.

His expertise includes FCC applications, coverage studies, interference analysis, AutoCAD and Revit design, RF troubleshooting, and the installation of full-power television transmission systems.

A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, David began his career in 1993 with Marsand, Inc., working alongside his father, Matthew A. Sanderford, Jr., P.E. During his tenure, he helped oversee the design and construction of numerous full-power television and radio facilities, managing projects from FCC and FAA approvals through tower construction, transmitter installation, commissioning, and launch.

David played a key role in more than thirty digital television transition projects and was heavily involved in the FCC Spectrum Repack, managing complete RF plant upgrades for ten full-power television stations and supporting the installation of more than 100 transmitters and RF systems nationwide.

In 2021, David founded iDSi to continue providing engineering, consulting, and installation services to broadcasters. Today, the company focuses on transmitter modernization, RF system integration, high-power combining systems, antenna and transmission line commissioning, and turnkey broadcast facility projects. 

Known for his “hands-on engineering” approach, David remains actively involved in field installations and system optimization, ensuring that every project is designed with reliability, serviceability, and the broadcaster’s operational needs in mind.
