Station Award Winners

TAB’s Station of the Year Awards  honor a Member Radio and Television Station for overall excellence and service during the past year.

2025 Radio Station of the Year

KRLD Dallas-Fort Worth

KRLD has been a Dallas-Fort Worth market leader for many years – signing on the air in 1926 thanks to Radio Laboratories of Dallas.

Throughout their history, they’ve achieved a lot of “firsts.”

First to present live broadcasts of high school and college football games…

First to offer continuous election returns…

First to broadcast live music and entertainment…

The station’s owners and staff continue to prioritize live and local news coverage, as well as involvement in the community.

In the past year, KRLD-AM-FM have committed hundreds of hours of staff and airtime to DFW area charities such as the North Texas Food Bank.

As well as “My Possibilities”…

A non-profit that provides adults with Down syndrome, autism, and other cognitive disabilities the chance to continue their education.

KRLD just gets it.

Listeners depend on local Radio for more than just news, sports and entertainment.

They know their local station will be there to help the community in any way they can.

And KRLD is always there!

2025 TV Station of the Year

KLTV Tyler-Longview

Strongly “Proud of East Texas,” it’s a legendary station whose newsroom has long developed top talent recruited by stations in major markets.

KLTV set the pace for taking their over-the-air brand online, building multiple mobile apps to serve unique segments of the community.

They viewed this as an extension of their community service, partnering with food banks and leading initiatives like Coats for Kids, Heroes Fly and Santa Scirto.

Their brand expansion continued with their 2.0 live streaming platform and additional digital content team, boosting their content and page views exponentially.

They have high standards for every project – even the station’s retirement announcement of long-time meteorologist Mark Scirto was nominated for an Emmy!

But that was just one of the many accolades garnered by the station:

  • Two Emmy nominations for best newscast
  • Gray’s Station of the Year
  • Five Texas Broadcast News Awards

Gray Media knows that KLTV’s strength is not only broadcasting to the great folks in East Texas, but the connections they have built with their audience, clients and employees…

… It’s their signature style for success!
