This course is designed to introduce the fundamentals of RF to Broadcasters to assist them with project planning, troubleshooting, and maintaining a high-power broadcast transmission facility.
Transmission line impedance and compatibility are covered extensively, with discussions on why and when a broadcaster should consider replacing a line.
The proper use of directional couplers and their placement is also covered to ensure proper technique of measuring RF power.
The use of FCC databases to determine operating parameters will also be discussed, as will the expectations for proof of performance.
