After completing his degree in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University, Tim Hardy spent 23 years with Nautel Ltd, the majority of his tenure as Head of Engineering. During his career at Nautel, he managed the development of several successful Broadcast transmitter product lines and helped to define the technology used in modern digital radio transmitter architectures. His contributions were on both FM and AM transmitters with a wide focus from energy efficient amplifier design through signal processing technologies to improve transmitter performance.
More recently, Tim was co-founder of Aethera Technologies Ltd. where he developed new RF power products for 6.78 and 13.56 MHz used to reduce carbon emissions from industrial processes.
Tim is currently working on innovative new RF technology as part of the team at Broadcast Electronics/Elenos Group. He lives next to the ocean in Halifax, Nova Scotia with his wife Agnes and their two children. He has authored several patents and is a frequent speaker at Broadcast industry events.
