LTC Rusty Clark began his military service in 1997 while a member of Army ROTC at Texas A&M University, where he enlisted into the Texas Army National Guard before commissioning as a 2LT in 1999.  He is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as an Afghan National Army Advisor.  During his career he served as a Tank Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, Cavalry Troop Commander, and various staff assignments in a Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition Cavalry Squadron.  He was an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Prairie View A&M University where he instructed ROTC Cadets.  He served in the 56^th IBCT as the Brigade Operations Officer prior to becoming the Executive Officer of the 1-124^th Cavalry Squadron.  He was assigned to Recruiting Command in 2017 where he served as a Region Commander followed by the Battalion Executive Officer. He is currently serving as the Commander for TXARNG Recruiting.

LTC Clark lives in Austin and is married to Mrs. Mindy Clark.  They have 2 children, Reese, and Caleigh.
